Puzzle #52 of 2023

This was such an important puzzle for me to complete. I had stopped short once before and hated that. I finally decided I was ready to try it again... here are my notes.
Okay, going to attempt this one again. This was the
'did not finish' that broke my heart. I had several pieces sort of still intact in the box and laid them out. Working on it now and it really is a tough one! The sides are so close to being identical and that is tough! Also, the pieces aren't really distinct in their cut so it isn't always obvious when a pieces fits and when it doesn't. But I am determined to finish this puzzle this time around. I have a feeling it will end up being a 'sort by shape and slug it out' kind of a deal... but time will tell. :)

I thought I had an extra piece and even took my final photos. Then realized, as I was about to box it up that no, this piece had a place! ha! It is quite obvious in this photo below. I think I was just done with this puzzle! ha!
Well, I got it done. finally. It was very tough. And I am glad to have it behind me. And also feeling quite happy to have completed it. The pieces were not well cut so didn't fit together well. I feel like this was a not great representation of MasterPieces... I haven't been as bothered by their poor cut before. But this one was not good. I guess a more difficult puzzle doesn't do well with the slightly lower quality of MasterPieces puzzles. Too bad. And lesson learned. But I will always love that large poster! Image by David Maclean.
