Puzzle #47 - Ceaco - Summer Gazebo - 300 pieces

Puzzle #47 of 2023
Finished September 12, 2023

Often, when I finish up a larger puzzle and there is still time in the evening, I have a hankering to continue puzzling a bit more.  That is a perfect time to pull out a 300 piece puzzle.  That was the case with this puzzle.  I had just completed The Drawing Room but wasn't quite done with my puzzling fun, so I did this lovely little quick puzzle.  Knew I could start and finish before bedtime.  :)  Loved the image and had been waiting for the perfect moment to do it.

Ceaco quality is not the best, that is true.  But it isn't horrible.  Multiple pieces had paper that was still clinging to cut edges but I just pulled it off.  I did laugh when I was finished and saw a pile of this paper at my feet - hadn't realized quite how much there was until I saw that pile!  So definitely an issue, but not awful.  Poster is nice and heavyweight.  Image by Tracy Flickinger. Paired with Yalumba Viognier (same as when finishing up The Drawing Room earlier this evening.)   :D

Puzzle #46 - Falcon - The Drawing Room - 1000 pieces

Puzzle #46 of 2023
Finished September 12, 2023

This is a very nice puzzle.  Wish there was a poster.  Falcon puzzles are thick, well defined color, almost zero puzzle dust... I was a bit worried that this one would be quite tricky.  It is not simple but it is not frustrating.  Just a solid, keep-at-it puzzle.  Very enjoyable so far.  Thinking that red velvet curtain may be the last (and most difficult) part??

Paired this first evening with Grgich Hills Estate Rose 2021.  :)

Finished this one tonight.  Enjoyable.  I was wrong about what would be the hardest... it was not the red drapes.  Of course it was the rug.  It would have always been the rug.  :D  There were a lot of dark areas but unlike in some puzzles, the dark areas still had definition so it was possible to figure it out.  Not always easy, but possible.  :)  I do like Falcon quality.  Paired this evening with Yalumba Viognier.  (this was a 2 wine night puzzle!)   :)

Puzzle #45 - Ravensburger - The Beach Hut (No. 7 My Haven series) - 1000 pieces

Puzzle #45 of 2023
Finished September 9, 2023

Ravensburger puzzles typically do not have posters (much to my great dismay) however, the My Haven series all do seem to have accompanying posters.  I love that!!  Stellar puzzle quality and with the addition of a poster, Ravensburger pretty much has the whole package!

I paired this puzzle with Lapostolle Carmenere wine.  Yum!

I really enjoyed this puzzle.  Ravensburger just is super high quality.  And there was a poster with this one which was fantastic!  Granted, it was a small picture, but at least it didn't have any parts cut off like the box image always does.  I'll take it!  Puzzle pieces feel good in the hand and have great color/definition.  Pure enjoyment for sure!

Puzzle #44 - Buffalo Games - Charles Wysocki - Labor Day in Bungalowville - 300 pieces

Puzzle #44 of 2023
Finished on September 4, 2023

A fun Charles Wysocki.  I thought this was one that just needed to be completed on Labor Day so pulled it out to do in the evening - knowing it would be a quick one.  :)  It was a lovely puzzle - all those beautiful craftsman bungalows.  So very pretty.  I imagine it would be fun in the 1000 piece, too...  As always, thankful for a puzzle with a poster, although admittedly, I didn't really use it much on this one.  Just let my mind wander and pieced things together (easy since it was only a 300 piece)

Puzzle #43 - eeBoo - Bookstore Astronomers - 500 pieces

Puzzle #43 of 2023
Finished September 3, 2023

So you know that I inherently love a brand when I turn to them after a less than satisfying puzzle experience.  eeBoo is definitely in my list of 'go to puzzle brands'.  This particular puzzle is by artist Ashikin Hussin, also known as Eureka.

This was my first 500 piece eeBoo puzzle.  The puzzle pieces were quite large so this was a big puzzle (filling my puzzle board top to bottom - another reason I really like the jumbo size puzzle board)  It was such a fun puzzle.  Bright and colorful and an intriguing and fun image.  The pieces are decent quality and go together well.  No misfits (like the last one had).  Love that it has a poster.  Did this one in one day and it was a delight.  Will go for a tiny bit more challenge on next one, though.
