Puzzle #71 -
Cobble Hill - Archie - 500 piecesSo this is another one of those puzzles I bought from Barnes and Noble. I didn't realize that many (all?) of their puzzles are slightly different than if you purchase them from the puzzle company directly or through Amazon. Must be an 'exclusive' thing, but I don't care for it. The puzzles I have purchased from Barnes and Noble have come in much smaller boxes than normal with puzzle images that are hard to impossible to make out and, in this case, no poster even though Cobble Hill is very good about including a poster with each puzzle. So, while the quality of the puzzle is good (and has been for each I have bought from Barnes and Noble), there are other factors that lessen my enjoyment. So I would suggest that if you find a puzzle image you like at Barnes and Noble, first look to see if that image by the same company is available from them or through amazon - and check the piece count. This is a 500 piece count puzzle, but when sold by Cobble Hill is a 1000 piece count puzzle (same image). Lesson learned.

Here are my notes from the puzzle - Wow, this one was way easier than I expected it to be. It was really like a 300 piece puzzle. Fun but so easy. Very loose fitting so it kept coming apart. No puzzle dust to speak of. I wonder about this being a Cobble Hill, though. the only place it says their name is in one spot. I bought this from Barnes and Noble. Don't think it would be a copycat - but it certainly didn't feel like normal Cobble Hill quality. Not bad, just not quite the same. And no poster, which Cobble Hill usually provides. A pleasant diversion but definitely want a 1000 piece puzzle next.
