Puzzle #82 - Buffalo Games - Happy Hour 2 - 300 pieces

Puzzle #82 - Buffalo Games - Happy Hour 2 - 300 pieces

I just wanted to do this one.  Just got it but pulled it out immediately.  It is so bright and cheerful and cute.

And oh, those Buffalo posters!  I love them so much!  This one was nearly as large as the puzzle itself!

This was quick and easy - about an hour.  But gave great joy.  Such a wonderful kind of puzzle that can do that for me.

Very nice little puzzle. Fun Christmas image - easy to do. Nice to do another holiday puzzle.  Just wish it had a poster.

Puzzle #80 - Cobble Hill - Vintage Main Street - 1000 pieces

Puzzle #80 - Cobble Hill - Vintage Main Street - 1000 pieces

Did this puzzle on the new tilting puzzle board.  That did help and was nice, but I was missing my old setup the whole time.  I had been wanting to do this puzzle ever since I first saw it.  It is so colorful and fun!  Definitely a nice puzzle.  Just sort of plodded along as I had time this week.  (Discovering that December is a tough time to find the time for puzzling...)  Finished it up tonight.  Very pleasant experience.

Puzzle #79 - Buffalo Games - Relaxing with a puzzle - 300 pieces

Puzzle #79 - Buffalo Games - Relaxing with a puzzle - 300 pieces

Using the new puzzle board with this one.  I do like the fact that it raises up (helps a lot with the glaring light in this position of the dining room) and love that it can swivel allowing me to do portrait puzzles easier.  I really miss having the space on each side to lay out all the pieces.  I am using the Buffalo puzzle trays and it does work... but I don't like it as much.  I really have been completely spoiled by my set up that I have had!  I told my husband that if I had begun puzzling in this new location (instead of on the table by the stairs) I probably wouldn't have continued.  The light is so bad and glaring. And if I had had a different puzzle caddy I likely wouldn't have continued.  My set up is just so ideal and has worked SO WELL.  I miss it!  But the holidays require change and I can do this.  :D  January I'll have it all back the way I like it!  :D

This was a fun little puzzle.  More challenging than you might expect for a 300 pieces.  A great puzzle to try out my new puzzle board. Good fit, no puzzle dust, love the poster.  Just a pleasant and engaging experience.

Puzzle #78 - Gibsons - Winter Cottages - 1000 pieces

Puzzle #78 - Gibsons - Winter Cottages - 1000 pieces

This is a lovely puzzle.  Gibsons puzzles are such high quality.  It is proving to be a bit trickier - not so many obvious areas to work on 'first'.  But it is pleasant to do.  I think I'll stick to my dreams of spending warmer months in Great Britain... I can do winter just fine here at home at Willis Creek Ranch.  :)  But in puzzle form, it works.  I do love having a poster!

I finally had to just sort by shape and hammer it out.  It was a nice puzzle but the colors were not the same on the pieces as in the poster. Or at least they were vague enough that it was really hard to distinguish.  I could not make things out clearly enough to have a clue where a piece might go.  At all.  Even when I was putting a piece in a spot, it wasn't necessarily obvious that that piece 'went' there.  :D BUT, I loved the image and adore Gibsons puzzles (SUCH THICK PIECES!) so this will not deter me from their company.  Will just pay more attention to images and try to choose things that are more distinct.
